The Wankers
Saturday February 21st
THEY ARE BACK!!! Combining Austin Powers'-style outfits, with faux Brit banter, and an incredibly diverse repertoire, New Jersey's ‘The Wankers' have only been around a year, but -for better or worse - they're starting to turn heads.
Fronted by vocalist/guitarist David Fagin (aka Damon Gallagher), this surprisingly fun quintet, who bill themselves as ‘The Best of Britpop and Beyond' will suck you in and have you singing along, even if you're not entirely familiar with the genre.
Just ask the nearly three thousand people they recently played to at Musikfest, Bethlehem, who came to see a Beatles tribute, then wound up gobbling up every piece of Wankers merch they could get their hands on. "It was quite amazing," says the band's co-founder, bassist Helena Holmes (aka ‘Hellie O'Riordan). "Even folks who weren't familiar with Keane, Stereophonics, Supergrass, etc., were going ballistic. I think it has to do with the fact we don't just stand there and play our instruments. We put on a show. A very fun and funny show. We're kind of like a combination of Spinal Tap and Monty Python. And our onstage fights make Oasis look like choirboys."

From 2005 - 2008, Milo performed with the Westchester, NY based band “RoadTrip” performing at many different venues in Westchester County/ NYC and Southern, CT.
2008 - Present Milo was one several singers with the Stamford based “Sharkey and the Unknowns Band” and after Sharkey Laureno passed the band continued as “Sharkey’s Unknown Band” which continues to perform several times a year. This band had been together for almost 25 years prior to Milo joining. They opened for the Beach Boys a few years back at Stamford’s “Live@5.
Over the years Milo sang as a guest singer with many different bands like “Billy and the Showmen” and the Jam Bands with hosts: Roxy Perry, Gil Parris, Ed Train and Wendy May.
2013 -2019 Milo performed with Tim Currie’s Motown Band with 5 singers and 9 musicians for 6 ½ years and Tim Currie’s Tumblin’ Dice Band (music of the 60’s) for 1 ½ years. Between both bands they performed at the Ridgefield Playhouse, the Norwalk Oyster Festival, Infinity Music Hall in Hartford, the Norwalk Green and countless other venues in CT.
“I have been blessed with almost a lifetime of singing with such an array of talented musicians and singers. I also very much appreciated the critiques, patience and mentoring from bandmates and other musicians and singers who shared their performance time with me! So thankful to all the fans and audiences who sang along with us, danced and applauded”.
